Adding, Editing, Sharing, and Removing a Camera
Any PC camera will work. Fiery recommends mounting the camera above your platen and aiming it directly at the platen. You can test this feature using your laptop camera.
Adding a Camera
When a camera has not yet been added. You can only add a camera once.
Note: When a camera is added, the Preview quality is changed to Very high. To edit this, go to Tools > Options, select the Preview Options tab, and choose the Preview quality. When using a camera, this setting is recommended for calibration accuracy.
- Go to Queue > Properties.
The Queue Properties dialog appears. - Select the Media Setup tab.
- In the Camera section, click the Plus sign.
- Select the camera, name it, adjust the viewing options, then click Add Camera.
The camera is added to the selected queue.
Note: The name is used to store alignment information, so the camera can be used across multiple queues. All queues using the same camera name also use the same calibration settings. - Click OK in the Queue Properties dialog.

- Go to Tools > Options.
The Options dialog appears. - Select the Camera tab.
- In the Camera section, click the Plus sign.
- Select the camera, name it, adjust the viewing options, then click Add Camera.
The camera is added. - Go to Step 1: Sharing a camera across queues to add the camera to a specific queue.

Editing a camera
- Go to Tools > Options.
The Options dialog appears. - Select the Camera tab.
- In the Camera section, click the ellipsis ... to edit.
The Add Camera dialog appears. - Make any necessary changes and click Save Camera Settings.
Sharing a camera across queues
When a camera has already been added. If you switch to a queue with a different media setup or print mode, you must calibrate again. This will overwrite any previous calibrations.
- Go to Queue > Properties.
The Queue Properties dialog appears. - Select the Media Setup tab.
- In the Camera section, select a camera from the drop-down list.
Note: A full camera calibration is necessary every time media changes, or the camera is moved.
Removing a camera
- Go to Queue > Properties.
The Queue Properties dialog appears. - Select the Media Setup tab.
- In the Camera section, select None from the drop-down list or click the Minus symbol to delete the camera completely (from every queue).
