DeviceLink Profile Editing
Edit DeviceLink Profiles by making adjustments in a design application.
- Browse to your program directory and find the Targets folder.
For example: C:\PROGRAM NAME\Targets. - Make a copy of one of the .tif files (CMYK or RGB) and import it into a design application for modifications.
- When you're finished editing, save the file.
In the application:
- Go to Devices > Manage Print Modes.
- Select the correct queue, select a print mode, and click DeviceLink Profile Editing.
- Browse to select that file as your target image (the modified file is displayed on the left and the original image is displayed on the right).
- To edit, use the table below for help.
- When finished editing, click Save As to save to a chosen location.
- Click Finish.

Ensure black is always 100% K, 0% CMY. Other color portions are removed. For conversion from RGB (0,0,0) to CMYK, ensures black is 100% K. |

Gray |
Protects single-color structure of Black from 0% to 100%. Other color portions are removed. |
100% R, G, B | Ensure R, G, B is always 100% R, G, B after color conversion. |
Duplex (a primary color plus black) |
Optimize the color conversion of a primary color plus black to prevent contamination. Impurities are removed. |
Primaries |
Protects single-color structure of primary colors. |
Triplex (two primary colors plus black) |
Optimize the color conversion of a secondary color plus black to prevent contamination. Impurities are removed. |
Secondaries |
Protects the two-color structure of secondary colors. |
Range | Set a tolerance for adjacent color inclusion. |
