Select Tool

The Select tool is the default workspace tool.

To select objects, click within the fill area, or click and drag around them. When objects are selected, nubs that control the object appear.

To edit objects, use the SmartBar.

SmartBar

From left to right:

• Nub selection: Click a nub to edit other fields based on this data point on the object using the arrows next to each field, or by entering values.
• X coordinate
• Y coordinate
• Width
• Height
• Scale width by percentage
• Scale height by percentage
• Proportional scaling lock: If on, percentage increase or decrease is proportional; if off, width and height scaling are independent.
• Rotate by degree
• Color
• Send to Queue: Send job back to queue and close Variable Data Wizard.
