General Options

  1. To configure General Options, go to Options > SignLab Setup > General Preferences.
  2. Select the General Options tab.
  3. Input your preferences and click OK, Cancel, or Apply.

General
Units Select measurement units for the workspace and feature settings.
Speed units Select units for feed and plunge rates for tool paths.
Weed offset Specify offset distance for weed border (default value 0.10).
HPGL scale

Specify plotter resolution value (default value 1016).

Note: If this value is incorrect, go to Cut > Plotting Defaults, then click Setup. Select the Plotter Options tab, and edit the Resolution.
For example, some machines output a 1" box as 1/4" or 4", so the recommended new values would be 254 or 4064, respectively.
Layer number Select On or Off to display color plate numbers. Select Use Pen to use pen number set in the Edit Color dialog.
Speed scroll

When enabled, when you drag over the workspace edges, the workspace will scroll.

Note: This setting is also located in the Selection Tool Settings tab.

Select Off to disable. Select Object Move to speed scroll when dragging an object.

Select Full to speed scroll.

Selection Nub Scale

Duplicates
X Offset Specify X axis offset distance between duplicated objects.
Y Offset Specify Y axis offset distance between duplicated objects.

Grid Size
Width Specify vertical spacing used to position objects.
Height Specify horizontal spacing used to position objects.
Snap angle Select angle to use when holding Ctrl key to rotate objects or edit line segments or corners.

Warning dialogs
Reset Click to reset if warning dialogs have been previously disabled by selecting Do not show this dialog box in the future.

Polyarc/Polygon/Bézier

Polyarc

Select to produce type of object using certain features, such as welds.

Bézier

Mouse Zoom Speed
Mouse zoom speed Adjust slider to set rate of zoom when using mouse scroll wheel.
Do not allow page 0 objects to be modified on other pages Enable to lock page 0 objects from modification on pages other than 0.
Always merge all layers
Automatic Update Check Enable to automatically check for updates.
