Queue and Job Logging
The Fiery RIP has a comprehensive logging system that can help track down issues.
If you have an issues, please send these log files to Fiery Tech Support as it will help us trace the cause of the problem.
There are three levels of logging: Queue, Job, and Page.
The Queue log is the top-level logging system and keeps track of printing threads, loading, and saving queues. To access the Queue log, go to Queue Properties > Other > Log, use the Save to File to save to a .txt file that you can then send in an e-mail to support.
The Job log records the details of processing on each separate file. To access the job log, select Job Properties > Other > Log,, use the Save to File to save to a .txt file that you can then send in an e-mail to support.
Note: If the job has been RIP’d and is a single job on a page, right-click and select Job Properties.
Note: If the job is one of multiple jobs on a page, open the group and select the job and go to Job Properties (or right-click and select Properties).
The page log is only available after you have RIP’d the job. It records the output processing of the page and any communications error with the device. Right-click on a job and select Page Properties > Other > Log, use the Save to File to save to a .txt file that you can then send in an e-mail to support.
