Output: Opens the Cut Toolbox to configure cutting options. Right-click to configure toolbar by adding or removing tools.


Machining Defaults: Opens the Output dialog to configure plotting options (see Output Options dialog).


Tool Options: Opens the Tool Options dialog to set up arc support, overcut, cut velocity, pauses for copies, tiles, pen, or pages, material, and to specify tool number for the selected tool.
Note: The controls that appear in this dialog are specific to the device. For more details, refer to the user manual.

Contour Cut On/Off:


Tiling: Opens Tiling dialog. Set tiling options including overlap, spacing, and cut inset.


Cut Template: Select to open a cut template.
Note: This feature is only available on a new material blank.


Tool Library: Opens the Tools Library dialog. The Tool Library lists all of the machining bits that can be associated with a tool path. Many tools are pre-loaded, and more can be added. Set parameters.


Material Library: Opens the Material Library dialog. The Material Library lists all of the materials that can be associated with output. Set the type, thickness, and color.


Use Easy Templates: Select to enable use of easy templates.


Cut Template Wizard: Opens the Cut Template Wizard. Follow the wizard and select a tool path, a template, an initial pass tool type, setup options, tool movement options, add an extra tool path, select to enable bridges and configure options, select lead-ins or lead-outs, and save for future use.


Create Tool Path: Select one of the options to create a tool path. For full descriptions and explanations for configuration, if not populated below, see Tool Path Tools.

Note: If you have already configured a tool path using the [selected tool path] Default dialog, the dialog will not appear again unless you go to Machine > Create Tool Path > [select tool path].
When you go from Tool Path Tools > [select tool path] or Machine > Apply Tool Path > [select tool path], the tool path presets are used and the tool path is automatically applied.
If you want to apply a configured tool path, use Tool Path Tools or Machine > Apply Tool Path > [select tool path]. If you want to configure the tool path and apply it, use Machine > Create Tool Path > [select tool path].

  • Fill
  • 3D chisel
  • Relief fill: The Relief dialog appears. Select the tool, the minimum and maximum cutting depth, and the color layer to which the tool path is applied.
    • Select Fine tool to remove any rough or leftover material from the initial fill pass. Choose the tool and depth.

    • Set a Fill style using the drop-down list (a preview shows the style). Set the fill overlap and angle. Some settings allow for optimized spiral fill. Select to optimize fill passes.

    • Select Sweep all or Ignore background depending on your needs, and enter the Object offset if you choose to ignore the background.

    • Use the Vector shape resolution drop-down list to select Standard, High, or Best.

  • Powder fill: The Powder Fill dialog appears. Select to fill sign blank bounds, bounding box of objects, or fill within selected objects, then set the object offset, and choose a fill .
  • Compound path: The Compound dialog appears. Select a template, move it up or down the list, or add or remove a template, and select to allow duplicates. Select a tool path from the drop-down list.
  • Dynamic fill: The Dynamic Fill dialog appears. Select a template, fill type, fill tool, fine tool, cleanup, and lead in/lead out.
  • Drill matrix
  • Drill contour
  • Drill center
  • Drill corner
  • Drill braille

Apply Tool Path: Select a tool path type to apply. These options are the same as when creating tool paths.


Delete Tool Path: Click to remove the tool path on the selected object.


Edit Tool Path: Click to edit the tool path you created. The same dialog appears and lets you edit the settings.


Duplicate Tool Path: Click to duplicate the current tool path.


Convert to Online Tool Path: Click to convert the current tool path to an online tool path. For more information, see Tool Path Tools.


Edit Start Point: After selecting this option, click to set start point.


Template Mapper: Opens the Template Mapping dialog.

Select a material from the drop-down list, add a layer, remove a layer, or clear the mappings, set a threshold surface area for small parts in square millimeters, and a vacuum holding distance in millimeters.


Job Analysis: Opens the Job Analysis dialog. Make selections to enable the following:

  • Close open shapes (set a snap tolerance)
  • Node reduction (set a line tolerance)
  • Duplicate contour removal
  • Make parts (and select to enable to correct sequence errors)

Tilt Tool Path: Opens the Tilt Tool Path dialog. Modify an existing tool path to introduce a tilt.

  • Set the direction (vertical or horizontal tilt)
  • Select to enable tilt to/away from center
  • Set the tilt amount (absolute or relative)
  • Set the left and right depth

Cut Tool Usage: Opens Tool Tracking options to select options for tool history. To enable changes, select Use tool tracking, then configure the options.


Show traveled distance: Displays tool history of distance traveled.

Note: Tool tracking must be enabled.
