Installing Output Devices

In Production Spooler, you can install new output devices. Follow the install wizard instructions.

  1. Go to Devices > Manage Devices.
    The Manage Devices dialog appears.
  2. Click the image of the device.
    The Add cutter wizard dialog appears.
  3. Select the device from the drop-down list and click Next.
    The device is installed and shows in progress bars.
  4. [Optional] Select the check box to Show all options for loading cutter package. Click Next.
    If you did not select the check box, continue with step #6.
  5. Select Search for new package(s) from DVD or Cloud server or browse to a folder location.
    If online, select Search Cloud server for packages. If offline, select Search DVD.
    The status bar shows installation progress.
  6. Click Next.
  7. Select a port from the drop-down list and use the ellipsis button to open the Port Settings dialog and configure the port settings.
  8. Click Next.
  9. Enter a name for your production queue and click Finish.
    The device is installed.
  10. In the event a README file is included with the driver for additional instructions, the Printer Readme button on the workspace toolbar will highlight. Click the button to open the README file and dismiss the alert.

OKI Printer Drivers

  1. Go to Devices > Manage Devices.
    The Manage Devices dialog appears.
  2. Click the image of the device.
    The Install dialog appears.
  3. Select a device and click OK.
    The Add dialog appears.
  4. Select Search for new package(s) from DVD or Cloud server or browse to a folder location.
    If online, select Search Cloud server for packages. If offline, select Search DVD.
  5. Click Next.
    The status bar shows the progress.
  6. Select a port from the drop-down list and use the ellipsis button to open the Port Settings dialog and configure the port settings.
  7. [If applicable, select the queues.} Click Next.
  8. When all bars are green and check marks appear, click Next.
    The Configuration Summary appears.
  9. Click Finish.
  10. In the event a README file is included with the driver for additional instructions, the Printer Readme button on the workspace toolbar will highlight. Click the button to open the README file and dismiss the alert.
