Fonts and Clip-art

Fonts and clip-art are included during program installation, and can also be added at any time.

To install fonts:

Note: OpenType and TrueType fonts must be installed in Windows first, using Control Panel > Fonts.

  1. If you did not add all fonts during program installation, insert your installation DVD and copy the font folder to a local directory.
    OR
    If you have purchased or downloaded fonts, ensure all fonts are in a local folder.
    Hint: A single, local folder containing all fonts is the recommended option.
    For example: C:\SignLab\SignLab\Fonts
  2. In SignLab, go to File > Install > Fonts.
    The Install Fonts dialog opens.
  3. Select required font formats.
  4. Browse to the local directory.
  5. Click Search Now.
  6. Select font(s) and click Install, or to select all fonts, click Install All.
    The fonts are installed.

To install clip-art:

  1. Insert your installation DVD.
  2. Navigate to the browser window with the DVD contents.
  3. Open a new directory window and navigate to the location of your Fiery LLC program install.
  4. Locate the Clipart folder and copy the content from the DVD folder to the local product folder.
    A dialog runs indicating copy progress.

Accessing fonts and clip-art:

  • To view fonts, go to Text Tools > Text Compose , then click on your workspace.
    The SmartBar displays text tool options, including fonts.
  • To view clip-art, go to Layout > Clip Art Viewer.

To reset the font database:

Note: Fiery LLC recommends backing up the font folder prior to reset.

  1. In the Install Fonts dialog, click Reset.
    The font database is purged with the exception of the SignLab VEF fonts.
