Synchronize an HP Latex Printer and Print Modes

The HP Latex printer stores all of the print modes.

The Latex machines have the ICC creation feature built in, which can be used to create new print modes for new media.

To use the print modes stored in the printer, you must synchronize them with VPM.

This is done the first time the printer driver is installed, and the proper IP address is selected. There is also a Synchronize Printer button in the bottom right of VPM.

Users can download profiles, or create their own profiles and then synchronize the print modes in VPM.

Those print modes then appear in the Fiery LLC software.

In general, there is no need to make changes in the Fiery LLC software to the print modes synchronized from the printer.

If you need to make any modifications to the printer options in VPM permanent, press the Synchronize Printer button, and those changes will be stored.

When the sync is complete

To update existing jobs and queues, please re-select a print mode in Queue Properties.

If you make changes to your machine print mode options, then you must re-sync and re-select the print mode for those changes to take effect.
