Options Menu

The following items are located under the Options menu.

SignLab Setup:

Automatic Save: Opens Automatic Save preferences, including saving, loading, and backups.

Note: Automatic Save is used in case of application crashes or power outages. To save your work, go to File > Save or Save as.

Palette:

Grid:

  • Snap to Grid: Enable objects to snap to grid.
    Note: When enabled, a warning displays on the object. When the object is double-clicked, the warning is displayed in the SmartBar in red.

  • Show Grid as Lines

Snap To:

  • Sign Blank: Enable to snap objects to edge of sign blank. Set snapping range on the Selection Tool Settings tab in the General Preferences dialog.
  • Objects: Enable objects to snap to objects.
  • Origin
  • Grid: Enable objects to snap to grid.
    Note: When enabled, a warning displays on the object. When the object is double-clicked, the warning is displayed in the SmartBar in red.

Guides:

  • Use Guides: Guides are used for precise alignment. To place a guide, right-click on the ruler.
  • Remove All Guides
  • Edit Guides: Opens the Edit Guides dialog to select guide style.
  • Lock Guides

Workspace Colors: Click to set theme, background, grid, guideline and signblank border color.

Ruler Positions: Select size and positions.

Toggle Units:

  • Customize Shortcuts
  • Import Shortcuts (.cks)
    Note: Application restart is required.
  • Export Shortcuts (.cks)

Use InstantReplay: Enable to use InstantReplay, a window to edit and re-use operations (see InstantReplay).

Multiple Instance: Enable to allow multiple instances of the application to run simultaneously.

Measure New Color: Using an X-Rite i1, measure a new color. Click Start to measure, enter a name, and click Add (if adding more than one color) or OK if finished. The color is added to the Shop palette.
